Strapping is also known as bundling tape. Packaging straps are mainly made from polyethylene, polypropylene resin or cold-rolled steel, with nylon and polyester also used. Plastic straps are extruded and stretched in one direction, while steel straps undergo heat treatment and bluing. Besides corrugated cartons and hot- or cold-rolled steel coils, strapping can secure glass, pipes, raw materials, fruit and other goods.
Plastic strapping is available as PP (polypropylene) strapping and PET (polyester) strapping, also known as plastic steel strapping. They are made from polypropylene and PET polyester respectively and suit different load weights.
Features: good flexibility, bending resistance, high tensile strength, low weight, bright colors and ease of use.
