Dyne pens, also called surface tension test pens or corona test pens, apply a test liquid with known wetting tension to the material surface. Its wetting behavior is observed to determine surface tension. The method detects small changes in surface energy, hydrophilicity and wettability on solid materials. It is simple and effective: a line drawn on the substrate provides the result. Designed for production-line testing, it is performed by trained factory operators.
SHEELON dyne pens accurately test films, metals, PCBs, plastics, ceramics and other materials.
An upgraded formula offers consistent color and quality, clear testing and quick results, with a three-year shelf life.
Use: grades 28–44, observe for 4 seconds; grades 45–60, observe for 2 seconds. Draw a line on the substrate and assess the ink trace over 2–4 seconds.
